We are so excited to share that FWIN Productions’ short documentary film Free To Be directed by Ugenia Stokes and produced by Brandon Claybon has been selected to screen at the Micheaux Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA. It is a multicultural film festival that showcases, celebrates diverse representation in the entertainment landscape, and cultivates a community that gives artists an opportunity to tell their unique stories. It is also set to be the first film festival back in LA theaters since the start of the pandemic.
The festival will be hosting both an in-person and online event for all from Monday, April 26th at 12 PM to Sunday, May 2nd at 9 PM (PDT). A physical red carpet and an awards ceremony will also take place in person.

Through the eyes of four individuals that identify within the LGBTQIA+ community, we see their push for social justice and racial equality, advocating for ALL BLACK LIVES MATTER. It also showcases the cultural impact the BLACK LGBTQIA+ community has brought to the mainstream media which has underhandedly been forgotten.
