This past weekend I was able to attend AFI Fest for the first time in Los Angeles. The one screening I attended was “I Will Follow” directed by Ava DuVernay. Starring in the film were some familiar faces like Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Traci Thoms, Blair Underwood, Omari Hardwick, and others. The indie film mainly dealt with family grief for a loved one and the process of getting through that difficult time. I had a great time! I was able to meet the director, Ava DeVernay, and many of the cast members. I even told Salli Richardson-Whitfield how much I have loved her over the years. She was so sweet…. and not to mention BEAUTIFUL! “I Will Follow” should be released to the public in the beginning of 2011. Please check it out and support.
